Windows 7 Media Center Cablecard Success!

And it is awesome! As I posted on TGB, the OSFRLoader tool, the EngadgetHD “How to install…” guide, and John’s post here was pretty much all I needed. Channels change almost instantanously and the picture quality is great. I’ve already got 10+ HD movies scheduled to record!

Windows 7 DIY Media Center PC ready for FIOS Cablecards (I hope)

Windows 7 RC + Cablecards + HD PVR = Media Center Dream!

Using Windows 7 RC, I shall be following EngadgetHD Ben Drawbaugh’s instructions on building a DIY Cablecard PC, plus 1geek1tool’s installation guide for DVBLink for HD PVR. Prior to this Media Center PC, I’ve only been able to PVR OTA HD and SD Cable…so, *crossing fingers* big time this install goes well.
